I got your Facebook message! Glad to hear everything is okay. Sounds like you had a fun day! Shopping, gardening, new BBQ, great dinner! That BBQ sounds sooo cool. I might want to get one when I see it! The size sounds ideal! As you can see I made beef and broccoli on a bed of rice. I didn't even think to BBQ tonight. Hopefully, the weather holds up and I will BBQ tomorrow! Okay, going to relax now, watch some TV before hitting the sack. You better get the hot tub ready for your sore gardening muscles. My muscles aren't sore yet but I didn't do much. And yes, I think I am finding solace in gardening. It's mindless and risk-free... although I did get a couple slivers and a broken nail. Gawd, is there anything I can do without injuring myself??? I posted a bunch of blogs for you. Miss you! Nite nite mama.

  1. We haven't had beef and broccoli recently ... hmm, maybe it will be on the menu this week. Did you manage to get more soya sauce? My biggest problem is trying to use up the veggies before they go bad. I really need to plan our meals before I go shopping and only buy what I can use ... I get so carried away. I also have to stop shopping at every supermarket, and just pick one or two each week.

Sorry to hear about your horse incident. That big toe looks so bruise! Horses are so sensitive ... even if you're tense they should still pick up on how much you care for them. I think you have to be more assertive or aggressive with them ... are they like dogs? Can you be the 'alpha' horse? Hahaha!

Yesterday started out very cool and stormy ... after church, we were in Price Choppers and the skies went black and it poured ... I believe there was hail in some areas. Then it cleared up and it got very warm and turned out to be a beautiful day. Did alot of work cleaning up the deck and patio and the bed against the house ... the roofers really made a mess. Of course, it's hard to just stick to one thing as there is so much to do, so I did a little pruning too and cleaned up some of the irises, as they are the first to bloom.

You did a good job cleaning up that bed. Altho the Hostas aren't up yet, you should see the hard tips of them peeking up, so watch out not to damage them. Gosh, it may take awhile before that pond bed dries out. Is a lot of water still coming out of the sump pum? The beds at the front (around the trees) really need some top soil ... maybe the next time we come out, we can figure something out. This year, we're getting some pony poo from Shirley (she lives by Doon), it's really close and we can go whenever. The one from your barn last year was too sandy, preferred the year before.

Btw, we haven't heard anymore about the basement ... how is that going? It should be finished by now ... hope it looks good!

Have a great day and week. Take care and talk to you soon!
    xoxo
