I thought this might make you happy. Liam’s report card. His lowest mark was Chemistry at 70%. His teacher left some really nice remarks and suggested he takes Chemistry again next year. So, he is. Then the other marks were all honours at 84% in guitar, 88% in Communication Tech and 91% in Computer Studies. We’re really proud of him. And the math although started out on the rocky side seems to be going well now. So, looks like Matsu sushi is in order next week! That’s how Liam and I celebrate his successes :)
I worked late tonight and I have a couple presentations coming up, so I might be going through some late nights coming up. I ran out today to get my license renewed AND also found out that my Health Card was expired too!! Why did I not get any notification??? Anyways, it’s done now... Phew.

Hope it's not a sign of getting old! I'm sure we talked about your health card (when Vance had to renew his), and thought you had done it. Also, how come this wasn't picked up when you got a speeding ticket? Thank goodness that somebody (Insurance company) is keeping a check on you ... it could have been worse.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been that busy, but lacking motivation and so haven't been keeping up with responding to your blogs ... in any case you're busy with work.
So happy to hear about Liam's progress and academic achievement. He is so steady and as long as he keeps focused and work hard he will do well. University would be nice, but if that's not what he wants, it's not important. The whole point of post secondary education is that he will have the tools to be self sufficient, financially independent and to have a successful and happy life. Altho that's not even true in some cases ... you just do the best you can with what you have ... hahaha!
Look at us ... we've been there, done that and are we happy? We're retired, don't have any financial worries, life is good, but .... humans are so complicated, aren't we? I should stop complaining and be grateful for everything!
Still don't have my new cupboard doors ... apparently he's falling behind (finishing up a big job) ... I'm getting a little impatient now, so he better call soon!
