Today was the first day that I came home to an empty house. Liam was at the mall and Jim was still at school. But it didn't last long as you know. No dinner pics tonight. I just had leftovers and now eating chips... yes, in bed. And, again the nice thing about coming home early is I get to enjoy the sunsets. Brilliant.
Jim had a big DNA test today. He doesn't think he did very well. It sounded like a tough test. Of course, this coming from the man who couldn't print from my computer tonight... sigh.
I was disappointed to hear about the Jamaica trip. Do you think the costs will come down any more? Keep me posted. I really want to go with Liam but only if it's reasonable.
Was also thinking and forgot to mention... do you think you and dad will come for a visit with the girls again this summer? I know you are traveling all over the place, no pressure, was just wondering.
And, I'm preping for our Maple Syrup Festival trip. Heeheehee... it definitely won't be as exciting as last year. So, don't get your expectations up!
Super tired tonight. So, this will be a short one and I probably won't be online at all tomorrow night. I'll catch up with you on the weekend :) Try not to miss me too much. Haha, you're probably relieved!
Kisses for daddy. Love ya xoxo
No problem. I'm not sure if we can keep this up everyday, but whenever is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteAltho everyday for us like a saturday, today really does feel like a friday (end of a week), because of all the running around and doing stuff in the house... feeling a little tired. Also getting prepared for the cupboard doors installation next week ... still cleaning cupboards. Wish you were here to help us decide about the handles ... think we're going with the brushed nickel bars with maybe a few knobs on the drawers.
I will keep you posted on the Jamaica trip. I really have to think about it ... it's alot of money. I'm thinking that maybe we can do a last minute thing and even go to a different resort (A.Polly probably won't like that), and somehow try to meet up with them. I'll keep checking for better deals.
Since Jim has gotten over the excitement of the newness of school, the work must be really hitting him now ... it's not easy when the brain is a little rusty. Not sure about the cross section of students in his class, but it must be difficult to compete with the younger ones. Anyway, I hope he keeps at it and wish him lots of luck!
I bought a new smaller wok (made of cast iron with non sticking coat) ... I love cooking with a wok alot, but the stainelss steel one is too big and the meat sticks. I will let you know how this one works out.
I don't know what's going to happen this summer with the girls. I'm not pushing anything, but just doing "the wait and see thing" ... alot probably depends on the parents ... sigh!
Ok, gotta go. Talk to you soon.
xoxo
