Hi Mom,
I know we chatted on FB tonight but I wanted to share one of my favourite things living up here... The sunsets. It was particularly colourful and dramatic. Thought you would like it. Went down to where 12th line runs into the lake... It was busy with traffic and ice fishing huts. It’s actually busier in the winter than it is in the summer. Funny... But pretty awesome! Makes winter bearable!
I left work at a normal time today. With the days getting longer, it was nice driving home in the daylight. Although, it felt weird. I guess when I’m working long hours for a few months it will take me a while to get use to normal hours.
Any more news on the Jamaica trip? I think Jim will still be in school so plan on just Liam and I. And I definitely want to do horse back riding while I’m down there. I want to ride along the beach and then into the water. Will you do that with me???
That’s it for now, echat later gator! Love you xox
Beautiful pic of the lake and sunset! Those crazy Indians must love winter, so that they can drive across the lake!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you're getting back to normal, but it must be an adjustment as normal is not the norm for you. Yes it's nice to have longer days and especially when it's a sunny day, it doesn't seem so dull and depressing. I really must have been low on vitamin D (altho I thought I got alot during the summer since I'm in the sun all the time) ... I think it's making me feel less depressed, having a more positive outlook.
Spoke to A. Polly today and the prices are not good at all. She thought she could get a good rate for 10 or more people, but it's still high. I haven't really said anything to her, but I feel like waiting for last minute (3 weeks prior) ... we'll see. She seems to be stuck on the Iberostar (5* resort), which I know is fabulous, but I don't want to spend that kind of money when I know I've had better deals. As long as the food is good, the room is clean and comfy and the beach is nice ... oh, and there is horseback riding, who cares! Btw, not sure about the riding into the water part ... hahaha!
The other thing is ... she invited Jacqui and family (which is fine, as everyone has to pay their own way), but Jacqui wants to take Magi with her (which is also fine as long as she's taking care of her). I really don't think it's suitable for Magi ... but then I'm the practical one not the most sentimental or caring daughter.
Will keep you posted as things come up or change.
xoxo
