I wasn't going to make supper tonight as Liam wasn't around. But, at 5:30 he called me and I went to pick him up. It's only the second time that Liam has been over to his girlfriend's place and every time she or her parents insist on driving him home or picking him up. Liam said it's because they are embarrassed of their house. It looks like an old weathered cottage. The neighbourhood reminds me of Puslinch. That kind of a feel. It's also on Lake Chemong. Anyways, got home around 6:00 and started to make supper because everyone was hungry. Made chicken and ribs. It was a late supper. Still have work to do but I'm feeling a little better about things.

I looked up midlife crisis and menopause today because my mood swing and emotions have been very extreme for me. I think I'm suffering from both... how cliché. I hate it when I'm a cliché...

  1. You had ribs like us ... that's amazing that you could still fix supper with not much notice and all that other work you have. I probably could do it when I was younger, but not now. I told that we have so much food in the cupboard, fridge and freezer but unless someone (I guess that's me) cooks it, it will all go to waste. I still can't figure out a good balance between shopping and cooking ... I want to have everything available when I want to cook, but then I have everything and don't feel like cooking. I think we're obsessed with food ... me, cooking and Dad, eating.

Hope all goes well with your presentation and meeting on tuesday. You sound really stressed ... could be you are overworked, too much going on in your life (family, house and work issues)or it could be an early onset of menopause (periopause?). I think I was about 45-ish when it started. But I didn't have alot of symptoms (i.e. hot flashes, mood swings), just had irregular periods, and my migraines went away... different for everyone. Make sure and take vitamins and iron, and you really should go for a check up.

We had our taxes done today ... yea! Finally gave in and decided to go to someone ... the same accountant who does Nickey's tax returns. I called him this morning and we met him at 1:30 p.m. He's a little strange and very untidy office, but he's fast and we're actully paying less taxes this year ... that's what I wanted! And he only charged us $33 (for both of us). I still have to pay at the end of april, but now I don't have to think about it anymore!

DWTS start tonight, so I better go now. Take care and hope all goes well. Looking forward to seeing you on the weekend ... I have to start making a list of things to bring! ;o)

    xoxo
